 CAPM®

The Project Management Institute (PMI®) certifies project team members as certified associate in project management, or CAPM® s. This CAPM® certification exam requires that you document 1,500 hours of work (roughly 1 to 3 years of experience) or more as a project team member and pass an online exam. Once you're a CAPM®, you're a CAPM® for up to five years. At the end of the five years, you can move on to the PMP® certification, take the CAPM® examination again, or choose not to renew your title. Ideally, you'll have accrued enough project management experience to move on to the PMP® title. If you want to become a project manager after few years, I recommend that you get your CAPM® certification.
